How To Generate Passive Income Successfully With Resale Rights

Author: Roy Miller

Most people resell digital products poorly. They assume it's really more about getting traffic to their websites than it is about selling the product.

Don't misunderstand me. Traffic is important. Without eyeballs seeing your product (one way or another), you won't sell anything. That's not all there is to it, though.

Always remember that selling sells. You may have a nice, shiny, cleverly named product. It may be priced well. If you don't sell it, you'll end up with a nice, shiny waste of your time.

If you're looking for how to generate passive income successfully with resale rights, don't expect the product to do all the work itself. It won't. Instead "wrap" the product in compelling marketing.

You have to create a reason for somebody to buy what you're selling. You do that by wrapping some compelling marketing around the product. It ought to tell a story about why a buyer needs the product. For example, don't sell an eBook, sell the difference the contents of the eBook will make in a buyer's life.

The best kind of wrapping is to enclose the product (or set of products bundled into a "system") in a compelling marketing concept. The most common is a "sale" for some reason, but you're limited only by your imagination.

Resale rights or any other marketing tool isn't going to do the work of generating a passive income for you. When someone claims it will, run the other way. Making money online takes work. If you do it right, it should take less work over time, becoming more and more passive. That's still pretty good!
