Acne is a skin disorder that shows up different types of bumps. Clogging of pores with too much skin's oil, dead cell and germs called bacteria mainly causes the same. However acne is not a severe health threat. But, it can be permanently scaring. Acne may occur in the form of White head, black head, bumps and pimples, and is very common in teenagers, particularly in females.

Cause of acne
However there is not an established reason why acne begins in adolescence. But one of the most important causes of acne is hormonal change. There is male sex hormone namely androgen which increase in both girls and boys during their puberty which enlarge sebaceous glands. Other factor, which causes acne, is heredity. You may have inherited from your parents. Certain drugs, which include androgen and lithium, may also cause acne.

Prevention/Treatment
Since you may face some side effect while treating acne by using certain medicine, it is always suggested to go for simple home remedies. You may do certain things to prevent/treat acne. It is pertinent to mention here that the actual cure of acne lies in its prevention. Below are the various tips and simples ways to get your face acne free.

Various simple methods
? Apply a mixture of limejuice and rosewater containing 50% of both on your face. Wash your face with fresh water after 15-20 minutes.
? You can apply fresh lemon juice on your face in night and wash it in the morning with lukewarm water.
? Take ? teaspoon of vinegar, 5-6 drops of glycerin, 2-3 drops of camphor and make a moisturizer with rose water. Apply this moisturizer twice daily.
? Make a paste of ground orange peel with water. Apply it on your face then wash with lukewarm water after half an hour.
? Rubbing fresh garlic on and around acne-affected area will make your face acne free.
? To diminish enlarged pores, just use ice cubes on the open pores.

Dos and Don'ts

If you keep in mind following dos and don'ts along with the treatment for acne, you will certainly get good result.
? Drink plenty of water, as it is very helpful in cure of various skin diseases.
? Add more green vegetable and fruits in your meal.
? You should gently wash your face at least two times daily with a mild cleanser. Using strong soap and rough scrub pads may make your problem worse. Do not rub or touch the affected area. It can lead to development of scars.
? If you use hair oil or spray, do not let them come on your face.
? Your makeup must be 'noncomedogenic' or 'nonacnegenic'.
? When washing your face remove all your makeup.

Since there is no definite cure for acne it is recommended that you must take care about its prevention. Prevention is the key to treat acne.
