New Hangover Remedies and Hangover Cures

Author: mccarthy

There's nothing good about a hangover. Befuddled to zonked - and everything in between -it was you who poured that libation (how lyrical that sounds) into your mouth last night. Not that consuming alcohol is, necessarily, bad. However, it is a depressive intoxicant,a powerful psychoactive and a drug. Just how and why it's cooking your brain the way it is right now is a complex combination of classic chemistry and your unique body.

What you're experiencing is your body's heroic efforts to defend against the toxins by manufacturing enzymes to metabolize and discharge those toxins. However, when the level of toxins goes beyond your body's tolerance, you experience some or all of the symptoms:nausea, disorientation, headache, body aches, vomiting, dehydration, dizziness, bedspin - to name a few. It's like the withdrawal, in a temporary and more mild form, of a drug addict.

In addition, alcohol makes you pee more, acting as a diuretic, because those toxins need to be diluted and flushed out by your liver and kidneys. Every part of your body is effected if extra fluids aren't available, drawing from wherever water is, including your brain.

Hangover management has been bombarded with 'cure-alls' for centuries, as physicians can't give a precise analysis to what causes a hangover. What is known is that your body is debilitated, dehydrated and depleted of essential bodily functions and sleep deprived.

How these elements combine to cause your, particular, hangover isn't known. Nevertheless, replenishing your body with salty foods and sugary drinks probably won't hurt. In addition, taking a natural supplement before or after a night on the town, like Alcohol-X, will, also, aid your body's recovery and abilities to avoid a hangover.

Considering how you feel right now, wouldn't giving some thought to the consequences of your previous actions make a lot more sense than the left over buzz you've got working?
